Dulwich named an unchanged side from the victory at Hungerford but slipped to another home defeat against Hampton & Richmond Borough in front of another very good crowd at Champion Hill, and remain without a home league win since the second Saturday of the season. There were some bright moments for The Hamlet, who were also on the receiving end of some controversial decisions from referee Mr Ajibola that led to the visitors goals .
The Hamlet opened quite brightly and Richard Orlu headed over the bar in the 6th minute from the first presentable chance to either side. There was also a good chance to set Dylan Kearney free on two occasions, but Dominic Vose was unable to find the right weight of pass. However. a lot of the faults in Dulwich's side were also very evident as they did not look secure at the back as the midfield allowed runners to move forwards too easily.
A misunderstanding between Preston Edwards and Jack Connors luckily only resulted in a throw in being given away and Young shot high and wide when in a lot of space just inside the penalty area. just after a flowing move on the left saw Dylan Kearney stab a chance over the bar when well placed. The same player also created space on the edge of the penalty area but shot straight at LIncoln in the visitors goal.
Preston Edwards was called into action to push a deflected effort from Orsi-Dadomo wide before Quade Taylor should have given Dulwich a 26th minute lead. Another move down the left saw Danny Mills rise at the far post to head the ball across goal where Taylor could only scuff his shot into the ground, when any good contact would surely have seen the ball placed in the net.
Another error, this time from David Ijaha, forced Preston Edwards to save from Ahmidi and Wassmer headed over from the resulting corner. However, the visitors took a 37th minute lead when the ball was headed through on the right and Ryan Hill scramled the ball over the line from close range. Dulwich thought that they would be saved as the Assistant Referee had long previously raised her flag for an offside decision, but after discussions with the referee the goal was allowed to stand.
Half Time 0-1
Dulwich thought they had drawn level just four minutes into the second half as Jack Connors delivered a free kick from wide on the right that beat everybody and entered the goal, but the same Assistant had her flag raised for offside against a Dulwich player. This time there was to be no discussion with the referee much to the annoyance of Dulwich fans, players and management.
There was to be further controversy just a further four minutes later as Jack Connors was sent crashing on the edge of the penalty area. However, there was no whistle and the ball was cleared wide to Hill who drove forward to the goal line and crossed for Kyron Farrell to double the visitors lead with a far post header.
For a while Dulwich completely lost focus and they could have fallen further behind without a fine save from Preston Edwards that thwarted Donaldson, before Dulwich pulled a goal back in the 77th minute. Dylan Kearney was brought down 20 yards out and got up to fire the free kick through the wall and past an unsighted Lincoln.
Despite some pressure in the last 15 minutes there was to be no equaliser for The Hamlet, with the best chance falling to Richard Orlu whose effort was blocked.
Final score 1-2.
