For the second time this season these two teams produced an exciting and enthralling game as both teams who were committed to attack at all times. Both sides will feel they could have won the game as Weymouth had the better of the first half, but The Hamlet had chances late in the second.

An even opening quarter of an hour saw only two incidents of note as Dylan Kearney charged down a clearance from home keeper Childs, whilst the home team wanted a penalty as Camp went down under a challenge. Weymouth were the slicker of the two teams, but looked susceptible to swift counter attacks from The Hamlet, and it was one of these that saw Dulwich take a 16th minute lead.

Jeffrey Monakana gave his marker a torrid afternoon and from a quick break he struck an effort that came out off the bar. However, it was collected wide on the left by Lionel Ainsworth, who had found the net for Weymouth in the earlier meeting at Champion Hill, who cut is and fired an effort that beat Childs in the home goal low to his left.

However, the home side peppered the Dulwich defence from the flanks and it needed a number of good blocks from the Dulwich rearguard to keep them at bay. Charlie Grainger made a brilliant save in the 34th minute as he sprung to his left to push an effort from Ngalo over the bar. McQuoid and McCarthy saw efforts blocked as an equaliser seemed inevitable, but Dylan Kearney maybe should have done better from a Monakana cross.

Having survived due to good defending, some sloppy defending cost Dulwich the lead just two minutes from the break. There were a couple of opportunities to clear the ball into the Weymouth half, but instead the ball was returned to the home side. It was moved forward to McCarthy whose effort from 25 yards left Grainger with no chance.

This should have meant the home side would gain momentum, but it was Dulwich who had the next chances right on half time as Monakana beat his marker again, but Shamir Mullings header was comfortably saved by Childs, as was another Monakana effort.

Dulwich came out with renewed attacking intent and within the opening two minutes of the half should have been awarded a penalty as an Ainsworth cross to the far post was clearly handled by Hobson to prevent Mullings getting on the end of the cross, somehow referee Mr Mannix missed it.

Ben Chapman forced a good low save from Childs and both Ainsworth and Monakana wasted good crossing opportunities as it was Dulwich who looked the more likely to score again as their defence was keeping the home side at arms length, whilst breaking swiftly when the opportunity arose.

Aaron Barnes appeared to be tripped just inside the penalty area in the 70th minute, but play was allowed to go on, whilst further good last ditch defending kept the home side at bay and Charlie Grainger did not have a serious save to make.

The home side had a fortunate escape in the 83rd minute as Childs dropped a cross but there was no Dulwich player there for what would have been an easy finish. Three minutes later, Dulwich wasted the best chance to seal all the points as they caught the home side short at the back. Quade Taylor strode forward but then overhit his pass to Lionel Ainsworth who should have had a clear run at goal with a better pass. However, Ainsworth retrieved the ball and his cross found Nyren Clunis unmarked and no more than four yards out, but his weak header was fielded by Childs when he should have been picking the ball out of the net.

Danny Mills headed too high in the 90th minute and when Weymouth looked to break deep into stoppage time their final attack was thwarted by a cynical foul from Nathan Smith that allowed Dulwich to regroup and defend the resulting free kick.
