Another home game, another home defeat as a Joe Turner goal in the 86th minute won it for The Angels.

For the Dulwich team visit here.

There is always a team that thinks it is too good to be relegated and this season it is looking increasingly like The Hamlet. This was the ninth home league defeat and yet 2663 people decided to spend their afternoon at Champion Hill. There are many who believe the crowds don't watch the game, if that's the case they made a good choice today.

This was a game that will not live long in the memory of anybody there, but it moved Tonbridge Angels nearer to safety and Dulwich nearer to a return to the Isthmian league. Tonbridge threatened early as a first minute effort from Wood was acrobatically tipped over by Charlie Grainger. The first Dulwich chance wasn't too far away as Danny Mills cut in from the left but saw Henly push his powerful effort out.

From this early hope of an exciting contest, a lot of the football was aimless long ball from both sides but Dulwich will wonder how they failed to go in front when Jeffrey Monakana laid the ball back from the right touchline and both Mullings and Monlouis managed to miss the ball from a yard out and an open goal in front of them.

Quade Taylor was inches wide with a volley from a Jack Connors cross, but that was as close as they came despite enjoying the majority of possession. However, the free flowing football served up at Champion Hill is now a distant memory as Dulwich failed to play through the midfield and now seem obsessed with hitting Danny Mills at every opportunity.

Half Time 0-0

If the first half was poor, it was positively superb compared to the second. Tonbridge, now playing with the wind, struggled to create any chances as balls flew over the forwards heads, whilst Dulwich seemed bereft of any ideas beyond smashing it long and hoping Danny Mills would make something happen.

The game had a goalless draw written all over it until the 81st minute when Tonbridge saw an effort from a corner hacked off the line by McCoy. However, the a goal did arrive in the 86th minute when a throw in fell into the centre of the pitch and Joe Turner picked up the loose ball. Nobody came to close him down and inevitably he thumped a low effort that beat Grainger low to his right.

Final score 0-1
