Following a recent run of poor results, Dulwich did their confidence the world of good with a comprehensive, if slightly flattering, win over Bognor Regis Town that moves them into Monday's Third Qualifying Round draw.

It took only two minutes for Dulwich to hit the front as they reprised the same move twice in a matter of moments. First, Jeffrey Monakana skipped past Ashton Leigh and delivered a cross to the far post, Danny Mills knocked it down and Nyren Clunis shot over. However, moments later, the move was repeated but this time Quade Taylor was on hand to score from 8 yards out.

Initially the visitors responded well with Ben Chapman having to clear from a cross by Lethbridge, but The Hamlet were soon two goals head. Again Monakana got the better of Leigh on the right and this time his cross was into the middle of the penalty area. Although Danny Mills did not get clean contact on his header, it feel to Nyren Cluinis to blast home from 10 yards.

Initially, Dulwich looked like they would put the match to bed early, but gradually the visitors gained a strong foothold in the tie, although Richard Orlu had the best chance to extend the lead when he headed a corner wide at the far post. Ashley Maynard-Brewer had to make a good save from the ever dangerous Jimmy Muitt, but Bognor failed to turn their attacking efforts into shots on goal, whilst Dulwich seemed content to sit on the lead.

Half Time 2-0

The second half opened with Nyren Clunis shooting wide and the visitors again wasting an opportunity to punish Dulwich for slack play when with three men in space a wasteful effort failed to trouble Maynard-Brewer, as did another from Leigh. This wastefulness was punished in the 53rd minute as Jack Connors hurled a long throw that Mills flicked to Clunis, but Durin made a good save. The corner from Jack Connors that followed was flapped at by Durin and Danny Mills headed in at the far post.

However, Bognor were getting joy going forward and Maynard-Brewer has to make a low save and he was again called into action just past the hour with a good save from Muitt, whilst the same player could only put his effort across goal when he was one on one with the Dulwich keeper. However, the sloppy play from Dulwich was punished in the 62nd minute when Aaron Barnes foul resulted in a penalty that James Crane confidently converted.

Jeffrey Monakana came close to establishing a three goal lead again when he latched on to a long ball from Ben Chapman and rounded Durin wide to the right of goal. With the angle very tight, he tried to run the ball in to the net but was foiled by a fine tackle as he seemed certain to tap home the fourth goal. Danny Mills was then denied in a goalmouth scramble as Dulwich went on to dominate the last twenty minutes.

The game was over as a contest in the 73rd minute as an Aaron Barnes cross was turned home by Danny Mills for his second goal and the fourth of the afternoon. With the match result in no doubt, Ade Yusuff was introduced following his loan with Tonbridge Angels and he was instrumental in the last quarter of an hour.

Quade Taylor played a ball to Yusuff and his cross just evaded the onrushing Danny Mills, before Mills returned the favour but Durin saved Yusuff's effort. However, the striker wouldn't have to wait long for his first competitive goal for The Hamle which arrived in the 84th minute. Aaron Barnes embarked on a run straight through the middle of the pitch before passing to Yusuff who shot low past Durin.

The final goal arrived just as the match entered stoppage time, Nyren Ckunis laid the ball into Yusuff who held off his marker and turned the ball back into Clunis's path. The winger shooting low past Durin as his near post for goal number six.
