Highlights of Dulwich's 2-1 victory over Tooting & Mitcham United in the Bostik League Premier Division. Having conceded a late equaliser at Leiston on Saturday, the Hamlet were looking at bouncing back with a first home win of the campaign against fierce rivals Tooting, who were yet to win at all this season. However it would be the visitors who went ahead early on at Champion Hill when Billy Dunn converted a penalty following a foul by Michael Chambers on Dan Clements. Dulwich were rather lethargic in the first half, with only Nathan Ferguson really providing any spark, although Muhammadu Faal came close to an equaliser, just lofting the ball over the crossbar. Dulwich ramped up the pressure after the restart, but it took until the 59th minute before they drew level, Kenny Beaney firing a free-kick under the wall to nestle in the back of the net. From here it was one-way traffic as both Dumebi Dumaka and Faal struck the woodwork, but eventually the pressure paid off, as captain Beaney arrived on the end of a Nyren Clunis cutback to drive home his second of the afternoon. Dumaka hit the post again late on but Dulwich comfortably held on for all three points. Attention now turns to the First Qualifying Round of the FA Cup next Saturday, when Hastings United visit Champion Hill.
