Dulwich Hamlet vs Staines Town, Bostik League Premier Division, 12/08/17 | Match Highlights
Highlights of Dulwich's 1-1 draw with Staines Town in the Bostik League Premier Division. The Hamlet had ended pre-season in excellent form and were looking to take that into the season opener against the Swans. With four minutes on the clock it seemed that would be the case as Nathan Green finished from six yards out following a Dulwich corner. However the afternoon would end prematurely for the left-back, as he was stretched off just a couple of minutes later. The Swans began to create chances, with Mitchal Gough heading over and Preston Edwards keeping out Josh Webb, and not long before the break, skipper Tommy Brewer thought he had equalised, only for the offside flag to deny him. After the break, both Anthony Acheampong and Quade Taylor wasted big chances to extend the lead for the hosts, and the missed chances would come back to haunt them, as a Max Worsfold free-kick was nodded home by debutant Lewis Driver in the 63rd minute. Neither side would create clear-cut chances in the final quarter of the game, and had to settle for a share of the spoils. Dulwich will be looking for a first win of the campaign when they travel to Harlow Town on Tuesday night.
