It is hard to believe that today’s game was scheduled to be our last home game and penultimate game of what has been an exceptionally disjointed season. We still have 8 games to play including today’s, 5 home and 3 away.
Today, we extend a warm Broadacre welcome to the Players, Committee and Supporters of Tenby United R.F.C. Our visitors Tenby survived relegation on the last day of last season when Penclawdd were relegated, since when a new rule introduced for this season would have seen Tenby relegated instead of Penclawdd.
This season Tenby have been rooted at the bottom of the table since the start and now have 17 consecutive defeats. However, they have never given up trying having scored 2 try bonus points and 4 losing bonus points, one of which was gained off Dunvant at Heywood Lane. Although Dunvant have 7 consecutive league wins over Tenby, last time we visited Heywood Lane we had to battle really hard when Tenby clawed back a 20-0 half time deficit to gain a losing bonus point for a 13-20 final score in a game which in the end could have gone either way. With both sides loving to play fast running rugby and battling for the full 80 minutes, today should be no different and we hope you all enjoy today’s game whatever the result.
