City player Matthew Ward swaps his blue and gold shirt for a white one !

We couldn't be more proud of Senior player Matthew Ward !

Having come through the ranks of our Mini and Junior squads, Matty joined the ERDPP (England Rugby Development Player Program) in Durham and has represented the County at all age grades up to U18. Now, after a series of selection events across the country, he has been selected for the 26-strong England U18 squad which has just arrived in South Africa for this year's series of U18 Internationals. The squad will play fixtures against Argentina (August 9), France (August 13) and South Africa Schools (August 17). You can read more about Matty's rugby career from Durham County RFU.

Anyone who has seen Matty in action at Hollow Drift will know the power and pace of his game, and we wish him every success in the stage of his rugby journey. Well done Matty !!
