Sport England have a scheme called Active Together, a crowdfunding initiative which aims to support clubs who can demonstrate they are helping themselves through the current coronavirus crisis. We have put together a campaign called #FlyingHigh and set an ambitious target of £20,000 to help us with our day-to-day running costs as well as preserving our savings for future improvements.

We are thrilled that Sport England like our campaign and have today approved our application to the fund, offering a pledge of 40% (£8,000) towards our target if we can meet a few conditions. The pledge will be made once we've raised 25% ourselves (£5,000) and have at least 100 donations. It's also an 'all or nothing' campaign, so we need to raise the full £20,000 before the campaign ends in four weeks to receive anything at all.

The campaign goes live on Saturday 14 November at 9am so be sure to check it out at www.flyinghighcampaign.com. Pledging your support is a simple process and we also have a wide variety of exciting rewards available to donors too ! In addition to a range of club offers - car stickers, snoods, hospitality and coaching packages to name but a few - we have bar and restaurant deals, hair and beauty offers, golf days and treats for foodies too, all donated by members and their friends. Be sure to be there early before they're all snapped up ! We'll be adding more throughout the campaign period, and if anyone is able to donate goods or services, discounts or vouchers please contact us - they will be gratefully received !

We'll be providing progress updates and more information about the Rewards on offer - keep a regular eye on our social media feeds and share as widely as possible to help us engage our local community.

Asking for donations is not something we have done before but this is a way for us to secure additional funding to help us not only survive but also take the club forward. Its an exciting campaign, aimed at making sure we can continue to provide quality rugby for over 400 players of all ages.
