Plans are well underway for re-opening the clubhouse this week ! Our core staff have made a welcome return to assist with bringing our facilities out of mothballs and preparing to open the doors once more. Originally planned for Saturday 15 August, we have brought forward re-opening to Wednesday 12 August for those wishing to raise a glass to Fergus.

We are confident that we have the required measures in place to achieve a safe environment, and hope that those visiting the club will work with us - sanitising regularly, maintaining social distancing and remaining seated indoors - to keep our staff, members and visitors safe. Our Covid-19 Risk Assessment can be found below.

The main bar and balcony, pitches and downstairs toilet will be open to access (The top bar is available for functions only and the changing rooms, showers and gym remain closed.)
At very busy times we will be operating a one-way system, with entrance through the front door and exit via side fire doors. The entrance area is also marked for two-way footfall for quieter times and for people using the top bar. Please follow floor signage.
As many doors and windows as possible will be open to maximise ventilation.
On entering the clubhouse, one person from each group will be required to register with our Test and Trace system
Please sanitise your hands on arrival and throughout your visit, there are sanitising stations throughout the club
Social distance reminders are in place throughout as a guide
Staff will be cleaning tables, toilets and surfaces throughout opening.
We would prefer payment via membership card or contactless cards where possible.
Food: at times when food is being served, please order and pay at the bar and use your ticket to collect from the kitchen

Indoors

Capacity is limited to 90 and it will be seating only inside, at tables of 2, 4 or 6 (maximum). Our furniture has been carefully arranged to maintain distancing and should not be moved without permission.
Whilst we are not asking visitors to make a reservation, if you would like to book a table please contact Caroline at durhamcityrugby@btconnect.com, via the club social media feeds or a text/call/WhatsApp to 07960582534. First come first served !
Sadly, whilst we are all looking forward to catching up with many old friends, walking tours between tables are in breach of legislation.
Available tables will display an "I'm Clean" sign.
One person only per group should come to order and collect drinks at the bar, following the floor markings.
At very busy times we will also be offering table service.
Empty glasses etc will be collected by staff.
Standing, at an appropriate distance, is permitted on the balcony.
Toilets will be operating with a 'one in one out' system.

Outdoors

There will be limited seating outside but with plenty of space, visitors are welcome to bring their own seats, to sit in groups of no more than 6 people.
Available tables will display an "I'm Clean" sign.
One person only per group should come to order and collect drinks at the bar, following the one-way system and floor markings.
All drinks will be served in disposable glasses, please use the bins provided :)

This is a new way of working for us all and we hope that members and visitors will be patient as we bed new systems into our working practices, and will support the Executive and our staff by co-operating with expectations. We all look forward to a return to the time that so many factors are less of a consideration.

For those who are displaying Covid-19 related symptoms (high temperature, loss of taste/ smell or a new and continuous cough) the requirements are to self isolate for 10 days & follow directives around testing,. If you have visited the club, whether socially or for training, and become symptomatic or tested positive within 48hrs please let us know.

Initially we will be open at the following times:
Tuesday 6.00pm to 10.00pm
Saturday 12.00pm to 7.00pm
Sunday 9.30am to 4.00pm
These timings will be subject to review as we respond to changing guidance from the government and RFU.
