Biography
Josh is living proof that coming to the game late is no barrier to success !Spotted by Jason Oakes in 2016 whist working out at the gym, Josh was persuaded to give rugby a go and the rest, as they say, is history! He became a regular at Senior training, and with extra tutelage from Jason went on to make his City debut that season aged 20, playing for the 1st XV in the opening round of the County Senior Cup against West Hartlepool.
Josh, known to the players as AJ, continues to go from strength to strength and he is now a regular in our 1st XV, although he's equally at home when playing for City Saracens. The highlight of his time at City to date has been playing his part in the squad which went on to 'do the double', winning both the league and the County Intermediate Cup in the same season for the first time in the club's 147 year history. A special time indeed, but we're sure there will be many more fine moments ahead for this special young man !
