Dursley Town Football club are pleased to announce that with the hard working committees support we have been accepted into both the Cheltenham floodlight league and the prestigious junior premier league.

Over the past 3 weeks the club have held several trials for our newly formed U18s team who will compete in the Cheltenham Floodlight league.

Brad Price (Manager) and Paul McGinty (Assistant) have had lots of young local talent to choose from and we are in the process of selecting a squad the will be able to compete over the next two seasons. This should see the adult section continue to have the best local talent at there disposal.

Today we received the amazing news that our application to enter a newly formed U15 team into the junior premier league was successful! This is the first time a grass roots club in our area has taken this step and the team will be coached by Pat Young. Pat has a large amount of experience at both grassroots and semi professional level and is hugely respected on the local football scene.

Over the coming weeks we will be releasing some open training session dates for this team as we will be looking to add bodies to the group of lads that have already committed to playing for Dursley this season.

We have also been busy with children aged 4 to 7 who are starting their football journey with Dursley Town Football Club with our pay as you play sessions that have been held at the Rec and have seen over 20 children attending each week. We have lots of fun whilst learning the basics of football. From these sessions we now have enough U7s to form a new team next season and would like to thank Liam Skidmore for taking on the task of running this young group for the up coming season.
