David Pounder joins as joint manager

Easington Colliery AFC are delighted to announce the appointment of David Pounder as joint manager.

Following the departure of Kevin Devine, the club and current joint manager Craig Hughes acted swiftly to attract David Pounder to the club.

Pounder will work alongside Craig Hughes as a joint manager.

A former professional, Pounder played over 200 games for Scarborough and York City in the Conference, and he has also played Northern League football, including representing Whitley Bay as they won the FA Vase at Wembley in 2011.

Pounder is currently a lecturer in sport at Sunderland College, and he'll bring vast experience and knowledge to the club.

Staurt Niven will continue in his role as an assistant manager, while Tom Goodey will remain in his position as physio.
