East March On

Easts promotion push continued with a fine home win at Iford. The slippery surface didn't really suit Easts recent expansive running game but they still had enough tricks to put try scoring machine Matt Sadler in under the posts. Spanky kicked.
Ellingham then had a good spell of possession and threatened Easts line. The home defence stood firm.
East countered and were held up over the line a few times before Mikey Smith went over. Good lad!

The second half saw some of the dangerous running attacks return. The pack were now controlling the exchanges and sub Kiwi Sean was causing Ellingham all sorts of problems. None more than when he went over to score. Pooly scored the bonus point try after a fine home move, linking well with Sads in the absence of Captain Cellidge.
The big Kiwi scored again, the big Aussie delighted with his Samoan finish!! Spanky kicked all three.
Ellingham replied late on with 7pts that were very deserved for their hard efforts. The referee was also first class letting both sides play. Nice baseball cap sir!
