The Owls put their near neighbours Ardington to the sword in this AG Kingham Cup Quarter Final. From early as the 1st minute when Steve Vaux headed in Jamie Ballards cross to open the scoring they completely dominated the match. Ardington only half chance came when a delfected clearance hit Ardington sttriker Dale Cameron and went wide. Kai Parton-Edey who caused constant problems to the visitors defence lashed home the second goal with the outside of his left boot midway through the half from 30 yards. Following a slick passing move just before the break Captain Ben Eltham exquisitely chipped over the goalkeepers head just before the break. The game was then over as a contest shortly after the restart when Tom North scored the fourth after some intricate possession play. James Wilkins in the Ardington Goal then made several good saves to keep the scoreline down but was powerless to stop Kai Parton-Edey adding his second and then substitute Bill Mcdonald converted two chances the second of which was constructed brilliantly after 2 stepovers from Liam Eltham and Kai Parton-Edey. A efficient and faultless peformance and the fact that Roland Pacey in The Owls goal never had a save to make the entire match emphasises The Owls domination. A Semi Final against probably Long Wittenham Reserves beckons.
