Senior Coaching Team - 2022/23

EKRFC are delighted to announce Craig Brown as our new Mens 1st XV Head Coach.

Craig is joining East Kilbride after enjoying recent success at neighbouring club GHA.
Last season, Craig was part of their Senior Coaching group, after previously gaining National success at U18 level.
After enjoying 8 years at GHA, Craig sees EK as an opportunity to take the next step in his coaching career.

CB : "I have been a Coach for nearly 8 years and, like many, got into it by accident/coercion. I initially joined through Trevor (ex team mate in my West Of Scotland and HA days and now Head Coach at GHA) who invited me to help when my kids joined GHA. I coached with him (and some significant others) through the Academy section before taking on the U18 Head Coach role.

Myself and the Coaching/Management team were lucky enough to work with some very talented U18s who brought a lot of success to the club. After 3 years (1 with COVID) with the U18s, I realised that coaching adults was what I wanted to pursue. I was fortunate enough to be given an Assistant Coaching role with GHA Seniors alongside some other great Coaches which confirmed my decision to move up was the right one for me.

When the role came up at EK I saw it as a great opportunity and, after talking to some close friends, decided to throw my hat in the ring. EK’s ambitions matched mine and the rest is history.

In my short time here I have met with the Coaches and Leadership teams across not only the Seniors, but the U18s and wider Academy too. The support has been truly excellent. The Players and Coaches (at all levels and all age groups) are ambitious, committed, confident, and have a real growth mindset.

As for the season ahead, last season’s COVID rattled fixtures have left the players wanting and deserving more. I am looking forward to giving them that by building on the solid foundation that Allan and his coaching team have left us".
