The Eagles return to action tomorrow afternoon, following their impressive win away at Goole AFC last weekend.
Hall Road Rangers will be the latest opposition to Sean Regan’s side, when they make the trip down from Kingston Upon Hull to face off against Eccleshill United.
This game was initially scheduled to be played on Wednesday 27th March, but with both sides poised for a weekend off, the game was brought forward to avoid a packed schedule at the tail end of the season.
As previously mentioned, Regan’s men were comfortable winners in their last outing, surviving an early scare when they found themselves a goal down within a minute to come back and dominate the proceedings.
Last season’s star performer Antony Brown made his comeback in that game, starting his first match of the season after being kept out by a knee injury. The big striker made an instant impact, netting a brace and assisting a goal too.
Brown’s form will be important for Eccleshill in Saturday’s game, as he will most likely have a big impact on the game, and Regan couldn’t have asked for a better return from his big man up front.
Saturday’s visitors also enjoyed a positive outcome in their last game, when they overpowered Liversedge by four goals to one. That win stopped a losing streak of three games, so Hall Road will want to build on that and get their season back on track.
The Kingston Upon Hull side find themselves in 16th place after a rocky start to the season, but their fortunes look to be turning and they will aim to continue building on last week’s positive result with another one against The Eagles.
On the other hand, Eccleshill are enjoying life back in the Premier Division, currently sitting in ninth following some positive results and performances.
Regan will be hoping to see his side put in a similar level of performance tomorrow afternoon to claim all three points and continue their positive trajectory.
