We would like to welcome Chris McKenzie who has taken on the role of Head Coach for the upcoming season.
Chris comes to Northern following his early retirement from playing. He played in the Backs originally for Liberton, before a move to Broughton before injury forced him to the sidelines. As a young coach he has some bold ideas and shares ambitions with us as a club. So far Chris has led a few preseason sessions which have been both challenging and enjoyable for the players who have attended. We are looking forward to seeing Chris develop his style alongside the playing squad, in what we hope to be a very successful campaign.
The Head Coach role has been vacant for a couple of seasons, but throughout this gap players have taken on the position. As a club we wouldn't have been in such a strong position if it weren't for the experienced heads of John Leatham and Calum Harper leading training sessions and preparing us for Saturdays, a massive thank you to them and to everyone else who helped out throughout.
Welcome Chris! #bestclubever
