The success of Egham Hollowegians is more than just performances on the pitch. Players and coaches are important but perhaps more so is the dedication of volunteers who work hard behind the scenes to help the Club function.

You don’t have to be a rugby expert to get involved. Whether you’re a current player, someone who has hung up their boots or a person who has never picked up the oval ball, you could be a valued rugby volunteer.

While the benefits of volunteering are specific to each individual, the inclusive environment of our Club is a rewarding place to be for people with differing sets of skills. There are opportunities to get involved for people of all ages, and some of the key benefits include:

What sort of skills and attributes are we looking for?

Enthusiasm is the key. As long as that is present, we'll welcome you with open arms. Whether you can run the kitchen, raise vital funds, improve facilities or promote the club, we'll be ever grateful for your help.

What sort of volunteering opportunities are available?

There are a whole host of roles that we're look to recruit for, ranging from Clubhouse Manager to Fixtures Secretary.

What time commitment is involved?

Volunteering can take up as much or as little of your time as you want. The role descriptions will give you an idea of likely commitment required to be effective in each position.

What support is available?

Outside the Club, the RFU is supports volunteers in community rugby positions. In recent years, we have enrolled a number of our volunteers on to the RFU Leadership Academy programme, which aims to help people develop their rugby expertise and confidence, while facilitating networking opportunities to allow delegates to share experiences and solutions to handle similar issues.
