Duggan defiant in defeat

Being consistent in their inconsistency has been a feature of the 2016 season for the 2nd XI. After last week's fine conquering of Fardon, lowly Fordians took the honours and achieved the double. Their star was centurion Shead who held the innings together. MT has been short of wickets recently but he returned excellent figures. On a boiling afternoon the Ells reached 68-1 in 15 overs when Glyn Morgan fell for a bullish 26 but from then on wickets fell regularly. Many of the batters got set but they could not kick on. Through all this Ryan Duggan reached his 3rd 50 of the season but he departed at 160-7. The game went the distance there was to be no dramatic last over win for our boys.
