Call for Coaches, Managers & First Aiders for 2016

Every club relies on people and volunteering as a Coach, Manager or First Aider is one of the most rewarding ways to enjoy the game.

Eltham Rugby Club is currently seeking expressions of interest from dedicated people wishing to join our vibrant and successful rugby club. Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Managers and First Aiders are being sought for the following grades and age groups for the 2016 Season:

Senior Men (A’s and B’s), Juniors U12, U14, U16 & U18 and Pathways (U6, U8, U10,)

Expressions of Interest should address the criteria set out below. Expressions of Interest close Friday 13rd November 2015. All application should be sent to the Director of Rugby at rugbydirector@elthamrugby.com.au

Coaches

  • Coaching history (including organisation and grade)
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • An ability to "think on the run" and to deal with a range of stakeholders
  • Coaching philosophy
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to deal with players at all age groups
  • Coaching strengths and areas to develop.
  • Qualifications
  • Senior Team Coaches—Level 2 Coaching or higher (or qualify ASAP)
  • Junior Teams (U12 to U18) - Foundation Level or higher (or qualify asap) & Working With Children Check
  • Pathways (U6 to U10) - Coaching Kids Rugby or higher (or qualify ASAP) & Working With Children Check

Managers

  • Previous involvement in Rugby preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to work within a "team" environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to deal with players at all age groups
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • An ability to "think on the run" and to deal with a range of stakeholders
  • A Working With Children clearance is required

First Aiders

  • Current First Aid Certificate (or qualify as ASAP)
  • Previous involvement in Rugby preferred
  • Ability to work within a "team" environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to deal with players at all age groups
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • Current Working with Children Check for Junior Team First Aiders
