Chamberlain and Carrick Star in Easton win!
Bedhampton won the toss and decided to bat first making a quick start despite the loss of 2 early wickets. Bedhampton were threatening to get away with the score 112-2 after 22 overs. Hampshire Women's bowler Rachel Carrick had Hovey stumped brilliantly off a wide by captain Mark Dickety and then went on to bowl a brilliant spell bowling 3 more of the Bedhampton batsman. Carrick from finished with 4 for 28 from her 10 overs. Assisted by Matt Chamberlain the other end cleaning up the tail 4 for 23 Bedhampton were bowled out for 171. Easton started their chase well with Matt Chamberlain and Adam Kite getting off to a good start before Kite was caught for 15. Easton lost 2 quick wickets which had Easton 91 for 3. Mark Dickety joined Chamberlain to put on an excellent partnership to get Easton to winning position before Chamberlain ran himself out for 82 with only 6 needed for victory. Easton saw themselves home in the next over with Dickety finishing 39 not out.
