Amport won the toss and decided to field. Both our openers, Hughie Lewis (score 16) and Ben Bray (scored 26 retired) played well and with straight bats, reaching 50 for no loss off 5 overs. Amport's first change of bowling tightened things up a little for our middle order but we continued to score at a consistent rate even though losing a few wickets to set Amport a challenging total of 163. (Over 8 an over)
Ben Bray, Will Perkins (scored 25 ) and Archie Bell (scored 25) all were retired with some fine boundary shots from Archie. Special mention to Iwan Cousins who hit a four off the last ball.
Easton took to the field with Samuel Symes (Captain) setting an attacking field. A good opening spell from Samuel Symes and Will Perkins set the tone and first change of Samuel Cummings and Hamish Kerr started the fall of wickets which continued until till the end of the match. We were lively in the field with two run outs (a direct hit from Samuel Cummings), good backing up and some athletic keeping from Ben Bray. Extras were kept to minimum and it was soon over.
Samuel Cummings 3 overs, 4 runs, 4 wicket
Hughie Lewis 2 overs, 1 maiden, 1 run, 1 wicket
Samuel Symes 3 overs, 1 maiden, 8 runs, 1 wicket
