EMWCC U11C’s took on IBM Hursley A’s on Sunday 6th May. EMWCC won the toss and put IBM Hursley into bat. IBM Hursley batted steadily, only conceding 4 wickets to Freddie Neal, Max Corben and Ioan McNaughton (all bowled) with Max Corben making what could be the catch of the season off Ioan’s last ball of the innings, leaving a total of 273 for EMWCC to chase.

EMWCC took to the crease and batted aggressively, chalking up eleven 4’s and one 6, however they conceded nine wickets over the course of the innings. With 8 overs to go EMWCC needed a run rate of 5.5 per over, with 4 overs to go this had slipped slightly to needing 6.5 runs per over. Eddie Hansen and Ioan McNaughton kept the spectators on the edge of their seats, with EMWCC finishing their innings at 270, just 3 runs behind IBM Hursley; truly a match which could have gone either way and a great Sunday morning’s entertainment.
