EMWCC Indoor 1st VI Beat Compton And Chandlers Ford
A solid bowling performance by EMWCC makes up for further disappointments with the bat as Chandlers Ford are comfortably beaten at River Park.
Victory against Sparsholt put the spring back into EMWCC's step. After winning the toss captain Mark Dickety chose to bowl and with good reason. Adam Kite (1/22) and Tristan Newtens (0/18) made a solid start by dismissing the Chandlers Ford openers quickly. Jamie Martin (1/30) and Tom Arnold (0/21) provided good support as C&CFCC were bowled out for 95.
In reply Tom Arnold smashed a quick 25 and Sam Dickety hit a solid 17 before he was caught trying to find the back wall. Tristan Newtens (7) provided good support with Mark Dickety before Arnold was able to return to the crease as EMWCC cruised to victory in the 11th over. Another solid performance by this young side as promotion is still a very real possibility with two games of the Winchester and District Evening League remaining.
