Following the postponement of our home game against London Lions on the 3rd of January, The E's hosted Northwood in our first home game of 2026. In the reverse fixture earlier on in the season Enfield came away with a 2-0 victory. The E's went into this one in search of their first win of 2026. At the break it was 0-0 with chances for both sides which included Sykes rattling the crossbar with a header as well as Soile and Ali both working the northwood goalkeeper. The second half offered more of the same for the most part with both teams having shots on goal and striking the woodwork. It remained goalless at Hertingfordbury Park until the 82nd minute when George Thompson attacked down the left hand side and was brought down in the box by the visitors captain who then received a second yellow card. The penalty was then confidently fired home by Enfield's top goalscorer Joni Vukaj.
