The experienced central midfielder, formerly of Brentwood Town, Aveley and Heybridge Swifts, becomes the first addition to Alex Salmon's side ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

Connor most recently featured for Heybridge Swifts during the 2025/26 season, making 41 appearances in the Isthmian League North Division and finishing the season as club captain.

Previously, Witherspoon captained the Aveley side that secured back-to-back promotions, taking the club up to the National League South. Connor then joined Isthmian North Division side Brentwood Town, where he made 50 appearances before joining Heybridge Swifts in March 2025.
