YOUR CLUB NEEDS YOU: NEW TARGET IS SET AFTER A GREAT INITIAL RESPONSE
The club has revised its projections upwards after a great initial response from members and supporters has seen the Covid-19 Fighting Fund raise £9,140 as of June 28.
After signing up to scheme on June 13 we set ourselves an initial target of raising £10,000, which will help the club navigate itself through some choppy financial waters in the wake of the fallout of the current pandemic.
Consequently, the club has reached the stage whereby it has set itself a new goal of reaching £15,000 by the same August deadline.
Faced with a very rocky road ahead, the club signed up to the Covid-19 Fighting Fund after seeking advice and, initially, 25 club supporters were required to pledge £2,500 so as to achieve the equivalent amount in matched funding from the Sport England-Crowdfunder scheme.
This target was soon met and, this combined to further pledges, means that, in a short relatively period of time, we have reached the very satisfying position of raising in excess of £9k.
The club is clearly on a roll and the generosity of the 73 club supporters/members is much appreciated. However, we do need one final push to reach our new objective. Any donations, can be made using the https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/eirfc-covid-fightback-fund link.
