Much better. In the past this age group have tended to keep their light under a bushel but, a far more fit for purpose outfit, made a rip-roaring start which may even have surprised themselves in this friendly.

Fiercely committed in the rucks and mauls, and forceful in the tackle, the blue and golds initially rocked the visitors after storming into a 12-0 lead; with one of the tries signed off by Tyreid Savage who went over in the corner following a superb dummy move.

Iggy Berrow ski added a conversion and it was now all a question now of whether Ignatians could maintain the momentum?

However, the tide started towards the end of the first-half when Luton scored a couple of breakaway tries against the run of play to level matters at half-time.
