Rhys Morgan steps up from his role as EDRU back's coach and will become Head Coach ahead of the 2020/21 season.

Morgan, who has been involved in England Deaf Rugby since July 2019 steps up to replace Sean Fletcher, who last month stepped down from the role he'd held since 2014.

In addition to becoming the EDRU Head Coach, Morgan will continue in his DOR role at Ilkley RFC, who last season were plying their trade in the Northern Premier Division. Morgan has also previously held coaching role with England Police RFC.

Morgan will be joined in the EDRU mens' coaching setup by former women's Head Coach, Ben Mousley. Mousley steps up to the role of assistant coach with the mens' squad, having successfully held the role of women's Head Coach in recent years, and has had a huge part in the development of International Womens' Deaf Rugby. England Deaf Women took part in the first ever northern hemisphere women's Deaf International fixture last season against Wales, whilst Mousley also led his team to victory during the inaugural World Deaf 7s competition in 2018, as England Deaf Women secured a 5-0 victory over Australia Barbarians to return from Sydney with the silverware.
