The 1XI hosted Streatham and Marlborough. The Es batted first and despite a number of starts only Chisoro (53) was able to make it past the 20s as Epsom made 196 in their 50 overs.
In response, an opening stand of 87 for the opposition set the platform that enabled them to chip away at the target despite regular falling of wickets. In the end the Es total was just a little under par, with the opposition chasing it down with 2 overs to go. Somerford (3-25) the pick of the bowlers.
The 2XI travelled to Worcester Park in an important relegation battle. Epsom fielded first and kept the run rate tight through the first half of the innings. However the lack of wickets took its toll and Worcester Park were able to counter attack in the second half of the innings, hitting some big boundaries on their way to 248-6 from their 50 overs.
Epsom knew they would need to score at a good rate to chase the target but unfortunately this positive intent translated into a series of cheap dismissals as the Es were bowled out for just 83 and a heavy defeat.
The 3XI lost to Addsicombe by 124 runs. After limiting the opposition to 178 from their 45 overs, the Epsom batting failed to fire and were dismissed for 54 in 20 overs.
Next week the 1XI travel to Addiscombe, 2XI host Walton and the 3XI are away at Woodmansterne
