Good Morning Guys… Firstly thank you for all the fantastic comments after the Eyemouth United FC Fun Day. I must say that the day was a culmination of so many efforts by so many cracking folk.
The EUFC committee as a whole all had a huge part to play. The fantastic coaches at the club, and the volunteers who steered through challenges right up to and including execution day… the car-booters, the cake makers, the raffle providers, the tomboler’s, the players and teams that came along, the parents/ guardians that brought the Eyemouth Players along (not including the First Team of course), the food suppliers, catering gang,and those that rallied at the last minute to heed the call.
The TIME and wonderful effort you all put in was fantastic and a true example again of what we can do as a team. I am very proud of all the guys involved and was so happy for not only the dry skies, but the results and ALL the smiling faces.
A certain moment that stood out for me was When Duncan Aitchison, stood forward (after being put on the spot), and described ‘…this is exactly what Dad (Robin Aitchison) wanted it, Kids playing in the background, an EYEMOUTH team and Chirnside coming together… THIS WAS HIM”
A true testament guys… YOU ARE ALL amazing… thank you all so much… and here is to next year (let’s make it bigger, and better… and let’s all play a part in it again, because our club needs YOU... TOGETHER… we are UNITED)
