Preview

Eynsham SSC face top of the Bourton Rovers on Saturday afternoon for the first fixture of 2015.

ESSC finished 2014 with a 6-1 defeat to North Leigh 'A' with Ben Kinchin scoring a consolation and his first goal for the club. Our opponents, Bourton Rovers won 5-1 in their last fixture against FC Hollybush, Adam Webley (2), Josh Catling (2) and Sam Mattock completed the scoring.

Barry Stratford Pre-Match

"Here we go again after a week off we find ourselves against the top two sides in consecutive games to kick 2015 off. We played our visitors a month ago and were very unlucky not to come away with at least a point, so we know that we can give the top sides a run for their money on our day.

We welcome back Ash Bowerman in goal, Dan Clifford, Connor McMahon and Matthew Hall. We have unfortunately lost new signing Dan King who has asked for a transfer to North Leigh for family reasons so we wish him all the best. John Griffiths is still unavailable and Lee Gardiner drops out.

We know they are a young, fit and good footballing side but if we can get stuck into them and play our game who knows what can happen.
