The Games and hundreds of transplanted athletes are coming to Yorkshire to raise awareness of the life-saving benefits of organ donation, and you can join us!

From 28th – 31st July the four-day event will see over 2,000 transplanted athletes, live donors, family and friends of all ages travel from across the UK to compete in venues around Leeds for the Westfield Health British Transplant Games.

More than 7,000 people in the UK are currently in need of a transplant and sadly three people die each day while on the waiting list. This is the first time since 2019 that the transplant community will be reunited, and you can join in to help celebrate the gift of life.

Over 20 sporting events are taking place across Leeds, and you can come and show your support for free the full schedule is available here. The annual Donor Run is taking place around Leeds Docks on 30th July at 6:30pm and is being supported by Leeds Hospitals Charity. The run is open to everyone and you can register here now.

There are two routes for the Donor Run, either 3km or 5km, but both are aiming to raise awareness around organ donation, raise funds for the charity Transplant Sport and most importantly, say thank you to the donors that gave the precious gift of life.
