News from Parsonage field as pre season comes to a close

The 1st team management are absolutely delighted to announce that all of last seasons squad have signed for the 2014/2015 season.

1st team manager Barry Regelous and Player coach Tim Moffatt claimed this was the most important business they had to get done through out pre season. Moffatt went on to add "last season we showed improvements and caused a few upsets along the way. I believe this was down to the team having a settle side and a strong nucleus of Farleigh players. It was imperative that during this pre season we retained last season squad that was with out doubt the most important task. Our development throughout last season was there for everybody to see. The management and squad strongly believe we can build on those foundations we set from last season. We have been pleased with how pre season has gone it has highlighted a few areas where we need to strengthen and it has also allowed the players to get competitive game time. We have now played six pre season friendlies to date all against step 5 opposition which has challenged our players and highlighted weaknesses for us to work on"

The club are also pleased that we have managed to add to the good group that we already had in the back room staff and to the playing squad.

Terry Russell joins us as Assistant manager from Coulsdon Town - Terry played a huge part during Barry and Tim's successful time at Coulsdon Town.

Ollie Waiton has become the Clubs Goalkeeper Coach - Ollie knows the club very well and is a fantastic addition.

Jenny Carson joins us as 1st team physio from neighbours Warlingham FC - Jenny comes with a great reputation and the club are thrilled she accepted our offer to come on board.

Joe Canning joins as 1st team advisor where he will be keeping a eye on 1st team and reserve team performances to improve the transition between both squads.

Super Kenny Lowhing returns to the club as kit man. Kenny is fantastic with the players and he is somebody the players enjoy having around. We couldn't be happier to have Kenny back where he belongs!

Striker Martin Smith has joined us from Horsham YMCA where he scored 26 goals last season. Martin will be a brilliant addition to the squad.

Midfielder Jamie Jagdeo joins the club - Jamie has had a fantastic pre season scoring 3 goals and creating numerous chances - Jamie is very comfortable on the ball and is a welcome addition to the squad.

Defender Scott Nurse has signed from Coulsdon Town where he was last seasons club Captain. Scott has done really well In the pre season games he has played so far.

Sam Blowers has returned for a second spell at the club having been playing football in New Zealand and Australia. Sam can players in numerous positions and he will add quality to the side.

Defender Ryan Cassim brother of first team Captain Adam has signed on for the 2014/2015 season Ryan has just finished at university. Ryan's had a season out of football but once he has some games under his belt he will be pushing other members of the first team hard for there position.

Goalkeeper Wayne Druce returns to the club for the second time looking to challenge for the number 1 spot.

Duncan Algar has signed from near neighbours Afc Croydon Athletic where he was assistant manager - Duncan will add much needed experience to the squad and will help the younger players develop.

We are close to adding another 2 players to the squad and we should have that done over the weekend.

The club would like to Welcome all of the above let's have a good season.
