Faversham return home with the win after a windy affair on the east Kent coast.

Faversham were out of the blocks early with debutante Samu Sarate chasing and collecting a kick over the top from fly-half Pete Bulteel, to run in and score in the corner. A second try quickly followed with some neat footwork by Jacob Gander-Compton outwitting the Folkestone back line and finishing strongly. Sarate was soon among the points again breaking through a gap on the oppostions 22' and going over for his second try of the afternoon.

There was then a spell of strong forward play from Folkestone in the following 10 minutes which gave them two quick try's. On the stroke of halftime Terry Kindred made a strong run run through the middle of the pitch, evading three Folkestone tackles to score under the posts giving Faversham some breathing space into the break.

In the second half Faversham were playing down hill and with the wind in their backs. This allowed the backs to keep the ball and use the space out wide, away from the strength of the Folkestone pack. Jacob gander-Compton went over for his second try of the afternoon with some nimble footwork. Folkestone crossed the line once more before Pete Bulteel scored a sixth try for Faversham. The debutante and man of the match Samu Sarante finished his first appearance for his new club with a hat trick.

Faversham's 2nd XV welcome Canterbury's 5'XV next Saturday at the rec. Kick off is at 2pm.
