CLUB captain Harry Harding has signed with Faversham Town F.C for the 2021/22 season.

"I have always said James is the best manager I have worked for"

Harry, a former Reading youngster, signed for Town last summer and made a good impact at the start of the 2020/21 campaign before the coronavirus health crisis cut the season short.

On why he's re-signed, Harry said: "For me, it is a club that I feel very, very happy at. It is a club that, at 29, I think matches my ambition.

"I have no doubt in my mind - with the environment we are creating this year - and what we started last season, we soon will be challenging for promotion.

"I know some people say that at the beginning of the season flippantly but I genuinely believe we can with the team we have formed and the management we have."

Harry also reserved special praise for boss James Collins.

"I have always said James is the best manager I have worked for," he said.

"He gets the best out of me. I think he's a top manager.

"The fact we have got a new sponsorship deal as well shows the direction the club are going in and, for me, it was an absolute no-brainer to sign.

"I don't think I have ever been looking forward to a season as much as I am.

"I feel like I have a really good bond with the fans, even though I only played nine games last season due to Covid-19.

"The best is yet to come.

"I have got my own targets this year that I want to hit and I want to fire the club into the Isthmian Premier League."

The Lilywhites will announce their retained and new signings on May 22.
