New Milton B Teams Festival.
Fawley U10's set up camp on a very windy New Milton ground and from the off knew it was going to be hard with Bournemouth, Totts, Havant and Andover in the group. Fawley started against a well drilled Havant team and with an exposed defence allowing Havant to take the win. The next match against Andover was a better match and Fawley started to show what they are good at, and the score reflected this with the first Fawley win. Totts had been blasting all comers and so the lads and coaches knew this match was going to be hard but Fawley tackled well but eventually lost the game. The last game was against Bournemouth who had looked sharp and ready for action but by now the Fawley squad had woken up and were actually applying their game plan. They turned Bournemouth over by six trys to none. Fawley finished third in the group and were drawn against Winchester in the next round. After a team huddle and a good few words spoken, the players took to the field knowing what they had to do and played their socks off to round the day with another win.
This was a good finish to a good tournament with the squad, coaches and parents all very pleased with the progress and thankful that the weather held off.
Well done U10s!
