The title winning campaign!

In FC Bolsovers first season as a club they were crowned champions of the Central Midlands Football League. Pipping Clay Cross Town FC to the title in the final minutes of the season! It was an intense affair. The boys got the job done and Bolsover were promoted to the Northern Counties East Football League Division one. This was the first time a Bolsover side had been promoted to this league. History also was made as no other team had ever won the CMFL within their first year as a formed club.
Bolsover also came close to completing a season double. They made it all the way to the semi final of the CMFL cup. It wasn't to be and they got dumped out of the cup by 4 goals to none by Hucknall Town.
The season also brought its dramatics off the field also. Cliff Thomas the chairman had agreed to take over Shirebrook Town as chairman. This waas then handed down to his eldest son Benjamin Thomas to take the reigns.
The management team in place resigned from the club with 3 games to go trailing the league leaders by 7 points! Cliff Thomas took over the hot seat and steered Bolsover to glory. Cliff won all 3 games he took charge of. Beating Clay Cross 5-1 at a packed out Langwith Road stadium. The title came on the last game of the season. Bolsover beating Phoenix 14-0 and Clay Cross losing to Collingham FC.
Cliff had achieved his dream and took Bolsover to the next footballing step by winning the CMFL.
Now with a new management team in place and a new committee. Bolsover are rebuilding for next season in the NCEL Division one. Lets see what the season brings...
