FC Británico hosted its latest social event on Thursday night with a lively Club Quiz Night at Collin's Irish Bar, the club’s new event venue sponsor. The turnout was fantastic, with 12 teams battling it out across four rounds of questions covering sports, music, history and geography, plus a tricky picture and cryptic round thrown in for good measure.
The evening was brilliantly hosted by Evan and Rudi, who kept things moving — and occasionally heated — as the competition intensified. After a close-fought contest, it was Luke, Joe and James from the second team who emerged victorious, edging out the runners-up by just three points to claim the €100 cash prize.
The final round, a challenge to name the 10 biggest coffee-producing countries, proved both decisive and controversial. With double points on offer, Team Johnny and Dan surged into second place — though not without a few whispers of “creative research” from rival tables!
As the scores were tallied and the debates continued, players and friends stayed on drinking and laughing well into closing time, rounding off what was another fantastic FC Británico social night.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along, to Evan and Rudi for hosting, and to Collin's Irish Bar for being such great partners. Roll on the next one!
