Snaresbrook 0 FC Hamlets 3

Hamlets travelled to Olympian Division 1 outfit, Snaresbrook to renew their previous encounters. Snaresbrook looked the more dangerous in the opening 20 minutes having most of the possession and coming close a couple times. Most noticeable forcing the Hamlets keeper into a smart double save from a corner. Soon after the returning Riley Richards found himself in an advanced position with the ball sitting at his feet just on the outside of the Snaresbrook 18 yard box. Richards managed to whip the ball with his weaker foot around the stretched Snaresbrook keeper to find the net at the far post. The goal came somewhat against the run of play. However 5 minutes later Hamlets who now had a foothold in the game found their lead doubled when John Gilroy similarly to the 1st goal took a touch to kill a pass from George Oakley and lashed a strike from 20 yards out, with his weaker left foot to find the same area of the goal as Hamlets 1st. With Snaresbrook looking deflated Hamlets took the 2 goal lead into half time.

The second half started with both teams seemingly having an equal share of the ball. Hamlets players were pressing hard to win back possession. The third goal came around the 75th minute when Jay Morris found himself through on goal and calmly smashed the ball home off the cross bar to see Hamlets through to the next round of the Essex Olympian Senior League Cup.
Every Hamlets player put a shift in and was an enjoyable performance considering the quality of the opposition.
Hamlets would like to wish Snaresbrook the best for the rest of the season.
