With Hamlets playing catch up in the league as a result of Cup runs, Hamlets know how important each game is. However Hamlets start to the game couldn't have been worst. Within 5 minutes they found themselves a goal down. A poor pass at the back gave the ball to the Scotia striker who struck from 20 yards with the Hamlets keeper out of position. 4 minutes later a long ball from Scotia had the Hamlets back 4 turning. A dodgy bounce left the defender having to stretch to clear the ball. Once again the same Scotia player found the ball at his feet. He struck the ball and found the net to put Scotia two to the good. With the pitch playing a massive part in both goals Hamlets consequently realised where they could and couldn't play ball.
Hamlets then found themselves playing some good football going close two times. However it wasn't til the 36th minute that Hamlets pulled one back. A ball into the box was only half cleared and fell to Charlie Heatley who finished smartly. 4 minutes later Hamlets thought they'd equalised only for the goal to be ruled out for offside.

Hamlets started the second half much the way they ended the 1st however could not find the equaliser til the 62nd minute. Left back Jamie Lottrie ventured forward. Lottrie struck an unbelievable shot with swerve and dip from 30 yards out to leave the Scotia keeper rooted. With the momentum clearly with Hamlets, we was awarded a free kick 25 yards out. Charlie Heatley stepped up to find the net and give Hamlets the lead for the 1st time in the match. The game ended this way however a Scotia player hit the Hamlets crossbar with literally the last kick of the game.
