
The goal is to raise standards in grassroots football, support the development of clubs and leagues, recognising and rewarding them for their commitment and achievements.
With this in mind,England Football accreditation is awarded to clubs and leagues rigorously adjudged to be well-run and sustainable – and which prioritise child protection, quality coaching and implementation of the Respect programme.
Each club must meet the following criteria:
- Have a Club Constitution
- Be lead by a Committee of 4 or more Staff
- Make its accounts available to FA/Leagues
- Have a qualified coach
- Staff with a valid Safeguarding & Emergency Aid certificate

In return for becoming accredited with the England Football status, we receive benefits from the FA that help to attract and retain players, volunteers and supporters. The level of support and benefits includes:

- Access to promotional resources and guidance
- Tailored support from The FA and County FAs
