A brief round-up of some of the most memorable moments from last season

With the old season over and the new one yet to begin, it's the perfect time to take a stroll down memory lane and revisit some of the highlights from last year.

The season kicked off on 7th September with an away trip to fellow promoted side Thamesians. As you might expect from two teams trying to find their feet at a higher level, is was a hard fought game, with Finsbury Park coming out on top 13 vs 22.

The following game proved to be much more one sided with the mighty Fins demolishing Bank Of England 69 : 0

By the end of September, the league was beginning to take notice of our merry band of upstarts, with Staines describing us as a "North London points machine". Not a bad start.

Meanwhile, the 2nd XV were also making their mark, with a top drawer performance from the front row allowing the backs to run riot away at Royston. The final score was 7 vs 67, setting a new record win for our second string.

After a successful half-season, it was time to don our party hats and get merry at our Christmas party.

Later in December, we found Waldo! Our rocket-powered bulldozer has been inducing winces from the opposition fans with his high octane tackling ever since.

January and February may turn cold, but that's not going to stop us! Great fun training in the snow, although our pitch may disagree.

The 2nd XV had some time in the calendar for some friendly games in the spring. Visiting one of the most famous names in English rugby, Wasps introduced us to some of the inexplicable traditions that have developed in one of the oldest clubs in the land.

Coming into the business end of the season, the 1st XV took on Hendon at Downhills Park. A tight 24 vs 15 win all but secured another back-to-back promotion.

The final game of the season came in the Middlesex Bowl final, against former premiership side London Welsh at their home of Old Deer Park. Despite going ahead in the first five minutes, we were ultimately defeated 34 vs 12. A disappointing result, but a great experience and a chance to spread the Finsbury Park RFC gospel wider than ever before.

The last event on the calendar was the awards night and dinner. Well done guys, you deserved it!
