In our long awaited NEWC game against Brickfield Rangers we ran out very comfortable winners 4-0 but it could have easily been in double figures such was our chances in the last 10 minutes. On an absolute bog of a pitch we opened the scoring on 14 minutes, Sam Jones beating the offside trap from a Phill Lloyd cross and makes no mistake from 8 yards out. We are 2-0 up on 26 minutes, Phill Lloyd once again creator on the right with a low cross into the 6 yard box and this time Jon Rush is on hand to roll the ball into the net. Flint make it 3-0 on 50 minutes, John Hill heading home a Ryan Davies deep cross. Aaron Edwards was denied a great goal on 68 minutes when from 22 yards out beats the keeper but he couldn't beat the cross bar and the ball went out to safety. A goal line scramble on 72 minutes sees Paul Williams on the end of Flints 4th. The final 10 minutes seemed to be target practice for Flint but with no goals to show for it, Jon Hill putting a close range header over the bar. Aaron Edwards twice clean through. Phill Lloyd, Stuart Hughes and Paul Williams all shooting over from 6 yards out.
A good run out for the team despite the dreadful condition and now a tricky league tie against Cefn Druids at home this Wednesday to look forward to.
