Flint took the lead after just 7 minutes when Tony Davies headed clear just inside his own half, Caddy collected the loose ball and played a perfect ball to Nathan Brown on the left who set off towards goal, as keeper Lewis Hall came out to narrow the gap Nathan calmly slip the ball past him into a now empty net. Flint increased the pressure on the visitors defence with Nathan, Caddy and Danny Andrews all coming close with efforts. Airbus started now to come back into the game with the game becoming a more even contest. HT 1-0,
10 minutes into the second half Flint were awarded a penalty when Callum Bratley, who had been causing problems for the visitors defence was brought down just inside the penalty area. The resulting penalty saw Richie Foulkes sending keeper Lewis the wrong way. It was now end to end with both sides having great chances to score, Caddy hitting a thunder bolt which was brilliantly saved by Lewis and Nathan scrapping the outside of post. With 15 minutes remaining Flint’s defence was left flatfooted when a long ball beat John Davies and Tony Davies for Oliver Lancely to slip the ball past keeper Jones in the Flint goal. Chances were coming fast and furious but with 10 minutes of the ninety remaining and outstanding save from Aarron Jones from a Curtis Strong close range header was enough for the game not to go into extra-time.
