Flint's wretched record at Y Traeth continued as they lost their first game on the road this season, to a very good Porthmadog outfit.

Although the scoreline points to an emphatic win for the hosts, truth be told the result was in the balance until the final few minutes when a late brace from Port's Dave Edwards sealed the win.
Before a ball was kicked, Flint were forced to make a change to their starting line up, as goalie Ritchie Walker broke down in the pre-match warm up. Fortunately, Elliott Powers was on hand to take over between the sticks.
The hosts took the game to Flint from the kick off and were rewarded in the 10th minute when Josh Davies scored from a ball pulled back to him from the bye line by Kristian Pierce. Flint continued to weather the storm, and then in the 26th minute broke to devasting effect as Jamil Adam waltzed around several players, having been released by Gareth Roberts, and kept his cool to scorea fine solo effort.
Flint then took the initiative, and Adam was only denied by an excellent save from Harvey in the Port goal. However, on the stroke of half time, Flint were undone by a superb effort from Dilan Lomas, who deftly controlled an Edwards cross, turned and shot into the net in one sublime movement.
The Silkmen came out for the second half determined to get back on terms, and Harvey had to be alert to deny Adam once more. On 69 minutes, Flint thought they had found the elusive equaliser, when an Axon-Smith cross found Roberts only a few yards out, but Harvey pulled off a point blank save to deny a certain goal.
With time running out, two of Port's subs combined to fashion the killer third goal. Josh Hartrick galloped down the right, and his low cross was clinically despatched by Dave Edwards. In added on time, Edwards was released by namesake Eilir to score his second and the home side's fourth to give the final scoreline a somewhat lopsided look based on the previous 90 minutes play.
This was a fine advert for the Cymru Alliance league, with some quality goals and two well matched teams going hammer and tong at one another for the full 90 minutes.
