Flint Town United got back to winning ways and they defeated a resolute Guilsfield who made an immense impact on this game. Flint keeper Andy Metcalfe, who was making his debut, was the busier of the two keepers in the opening half. The host’s, against the run of play, took a 40th minute lead when Ben Jones got the final touch to slide-rule pass from Shaun Beck. The goal looked as if it was going to be enough to separate the sides, but with 10 minutes remaining, Jonathan Jones levelled the match following a defensive lapse. However, it all worked out well in the end when Beck snatched a last-gasp winner, converting a raking pass from Mike Banks deep into stoppage time and it earned Flint their eighth success of the campaign.
