A much needed three points gained today against Llangefni and although not the most exciting of games a win was a must as we found ourselves slip to eighth in the league. It was Llangefni who had the first chance of the game on 10 minutes when Kevin Garland shot over from 15 yards. Flint took the lead on 14 minutes when Adam Jones handled in the box from a Chris Reiley cross and captain Stewart Carroll duly obliged from the spot. On 27 minutes Kevin Garland found himself clear on goal after some poor Flint defending but he rushed his shot and it goes wide from 8 yards out. 34 minutes sees a Paul Williams shot cleared off the line.
In the second half Flint double their lead on 54 minutes when Jason Renshaw sends in a 30 yard free kick and Phill Lloyd heads home. On 62 minutes Chris Rieley unopposed shoots wide from 8 yards out. Flint wrap up the game on 87 minutes when a good cross from Chris Rieley is poked home by Jon Rush from close range.
An away trip to Caersws next Saturday to prepare for in what looks a difficult game.
