With a strong wind blowing from end to end it was obvious that this game was not going to be a classic. Flint again started brightly but were undone just after 10 minutes when Aaron Pomeyie was left unmarked in he 18 yard box, a through ball by Dean Seager to the feet of Pomeyie, and with the Flint defence appealing for off-side Pomeyie slipped the ball past the advancing Danby. Flint pressed forward and in the 28th minute when Mark Cadwallader should have equalised but with only keeper Pearson to beat he blasted the ball over the bar from 8 yards. Half time approaching Flint increase the pressure but keeper Pearson pulled of three great saves in of minutes of each other from Nathan Brown and two from Caddy.
A minute into the second period Flint equalised when Brandon Burrows crossed from the right for Mark Cadwallader to head home from 6 yards. The game became end to end with both teams creating good chances and both goalkeepers pulling off fine saves.
(Trying to take photos, writing notes in a strong wind and missing kids on bikes I ditched the notes and relied on memory. (no comments).
